Mobile Ceramic Coating Services In Bear, Delaware
Enhance your vehicle with added gloss and protection
What Is Ceramic Coating?
Once upon a time, paste wax was the go-to choice to enhance your vehicle’s shine and shield it from rain, bird droppings, dirt, and more.
Fast forward two decades, scientists in labs have revolutionized vehicle protection with ceramic coatings. Unlike traditional wax, ceramic coatings offer a superior, semi-permanent liquid layer that bonds directly to your vehicle's surface.
Unlike the "wax-on, wax-off" approach of Mr. Miyagi, ceramic coating provides a durable, sacrificial layer. It absorbs elements like rain, dirt, and snow to safeguard the paint underneath.
In analogy: Wax is akin to a tent sheltering you in a forest, while ceramic coating is like a sturdy brick house. Both shield from rain and dust, yet each offers distinct levels of protection.
Benefits of Ceramic Coating
Many coating companies make bold claims about their products' capabilities. While some claims hold truth, I prefer not to oversell.
Here are the actual benefits of our coatings:
Before application, proper vehicle preparation and correction are crucial. Skipping this step means missing out on the full benefits.
This is where a professional ceramic coating installer makes a difference. Improper installation leads to smudges and 'high spots,' visible when the coating dries incorrectly.
Durable coatings, like a 3-year or 9-year option, require meticulous installation, sensitive to weather conditions. Delaware’s ever-changing climate underscores why we perform installations in controlled shop settings.
Common Myths About Ceramic Coatings
While ceramic coatings offer durability, they aren't a license to neglect your vehicle. It's crucial to understand their limitations. Many customers mistakenly expect absolute protection and are disappointed by swirls or etches in their paintwork.
The coating doesn't render your paint scratch-proof. It resists light swirls and scratches that occur during proper washing or drying. Dragging a dry, dirty wash mitt or your hand across the paint will cause scratches.
Ceramic coatings don't shield against rock chips. For this, paint protection film (PPF) is the recommended option. No coating, whether wax or ceramic, can prevent the impact of rocks hitting your vehicle.
Regular maintenance is essential to maintain coating durability. Like anything else, neglect accelerates degradation. Proper washing, drying, and periodic boosting are necessary. A coating designed for 6 years can degrade by year 3 without proper care.

Ceramic Coating FAQs
1.
Is ceramic coating the optimal paint protection solution for my vehicle?
While ceramic coatings offer excellent protection and shine, for the ultimate in protection, consider paint protection film (PPF). PPF adds an 8mil layer that withstands debris better than any ceramic coating available.
2.
Can I wash my car after ceramic coating?
After application, avoid wetting your vehicle for the first 48 hours to allow full curing. We recommend refraining from washing for the initial two weeks. Your first post-coating wash is complimentary to assess its effectiveness.
3.
Can ceramic coating replace my clear coat?
If your paint shows signs of chipping and fading from clear coat failure, only repainting can resolve it. Ceramic coating cannot address this issue.
4.
Can I skip prep and paint correction before coating?
We require proper prep and correction before applying coatings. Skipping this step means missing out on the full benefits of ceramic coating.
