Exterior Detailing FAQs

Is water going to damage my engine?

Water can potentially damage an engine if not handled carefully, but rest assured, we take every precaution to ensure the safety of your vehicle during the cleaning process. We do not flood the engine with water; instead, we use just enough to rinse off the cleaner and dirt, which is minimal. Our technique involves using the wand at a safe distance from sensitive areas, and we also cover any delicate components to further mitigate risks. Your vehicle's safety is our top priority.

What are the benefits of exterior detailing?

Exterior detailing not only improves the appearance of your vehicle but also helps protect the paintwork from environmental damage, UV rays, and contaminants. It can enhance resale value and prolong the lifespan of your car's exterior surfaces.

What is the headlight restoration process?

To restore headlights, start by cleaning them and gathering a restoration kit. Wet sand the headlights with coarse sandpaper, progressing to finer grits until smooth. Next, polish the headlights with a compound in circular motions until they are clear and shiny. Apply a sealant or clear coat for protection, and finish by removing masking tape, wiping off excess, and ensuring a clean finish. Finally, maintain clarity and visibility by regularly cleaning and applying protective wax.

What kind of trim restorer do you use?

We trust Solutions Finish as our go-to product for trim restoration, relying on its proven effectiveness and quality results.

Will a hand wax remove scratches from my paint?

Applying a wax will mask micro-light swirls and scratches in your paint. The wax effectively “fills in” these imperfections, enhancing the shine. While it can conceal very light scratches, it does not actually remove them. However, your paint will appear much glossier because the sealant creates a smoother surface.
